Personally, I have a wife, two daughters, and a dog. They take up all my free time, and I love it. If I do have free time, I enjoy designing electronics projects or building furniture and occasionally go for a run. I'm from Jonesboro, GA, but lived in Charleston, SC and Birmingham, AL before finding my way back to the Atlanta Area.
Professionally, I've done a lot. I've worked at a plant nursery, produced radio content in several cities, managed a retail store, and interned in a hospital's Biomed department. I taught electronics and computer science at another school, but am now happy to be a physics and Mechatronics teacher at the Ridge. Teaching is a wonderful career that I've found lets me use my creativity in a truly productive and positive way. I enjoy woodworking and tinkering with circuits and showing students how they can do it too. I love working on projects, designing, and being creative and helping others do the same.
I want students to succeed academically and personally. I want them to develop an open mind that can draw unique conclusions to achieving personal goals. That is what will get you the career that fits you. I am always learning and growing. I received my BS in Physics from Georgia Tech and my Associate's degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology from Jefferson State in Birmingham, AL. I most recently attended Kennesaw State University as a Woodrow Wilson Teaching fellow and gained my MAT. There are so many ways and opportunities to explore in and out of the classroom, don't miss out on what the world has to offer!
